7 Days of Dairy-Free, Natural Snacks for Kids ~ Frozen Banana Ice Cream {Day 6}

Oh yes, folks, by the grace of God I will finish this 7-post series that I started 6 months ago. Wow.  How does that happen?  ;)

Up for day 6 is one of my boys' very favorite treats.  It's so easy, it's one ingredient.  Bananas. That's it.  Prepped and frozen but still.  It doesn't get any easier than this.

We simple buy a lot of bananas and whichever ones start to turn brown get frozen.  Peel first, then flash freeze on wax paper in one layer.  Once flash frozen, store in an airtight container in the freezer until use.  There is always a stash of frozen bananas in our freezer.

If you don't have a really strong blender, you may want to freeze banana slices.  If you have a high power blender, you can simply freeze the bananas in halves.  Works for us!

Flash freeze peeled, brown bananas in the freezer in slices or halves
Move flash frozen bananas to an airtight container and keep frozen until use.
Blend frozen bananas in blender until smooth.  No liquid needed.
1 banana per ice cream serving.

Feel free to top with chocolate syrup, chocolate chips, etc.  But then it may not be all-naturally sweet.  Enjoy!
