This recipe used to be our Chocolate Sorbet recipe. But it tastes so much like a fudgesicle that we now use it to make...well, FUDGESICLES! :)
This is a great recipe because it requires no kind of milk and no ice cream maker.
We use Tovolo BPA-free plastic popsicle molds, one of my "dairy-free, summer investments".
The kiddos love them, and they keep "ice-cream truck whining" at bay.
Ready for an easy, tasty, summer recipe?!
EASY DAIRY-FREE FUDGESICLES
1 cup sugar
1 cup cocoa
2 pinches salt
2 cups water
1/4 tsp vanilla
Combine all ingredients except vanilla in a sauce pan. Whisk together over medium heat just until all ingredients are combined. Do not boil.
Take the mixture off the heat and add the vanilla. Let mixture cool to room temp and then pour into popsicle molds. Freeze and serve when frozen. This can take overnight.
