Christmas Meal {Dairy-Free}




The holidays are filled with so many wonderful things: family, friends, giving, serving, laughing, reminiscing...

And EATING!

But dang, as a food allergy mom, all the holiday meals and snacks can get a little disheartening and even downright stressful. 

It actually took me several years to really find my groove in this department. 

Eventually, though, I did figure out how to feed my family delicious holiday foods that were both safe and tasty enough to share with others.

In fact, we fine-tuned our holiday foods so well that we actually have allergy-free food traditions now. Woohoo us! 

It's always a good sign when your kids count on the same foods every year, and that just makes my life easier, too. It's a win/win for all. Even grandma appreciates knowing what the heck is going on for Christmas brunch each year...before Christmas Eve.

Don't get me wrong, I always like to add a new experiment or two. Pinterest and all my allergy friends on Facebook inspire me. But as long as I stick with our tried-and-true foods, playing around with a couple new ideas during the holidays isn't overwhelming at all. In fact, it's a really fun time for me and the kids. This year I think we're tackling some concoctions with newly found dairy-free white chocolate! We will keep you posted on those treats.
