Chocolate Avocado Pudding {Dairy-Free}

Thanks to our Facebook readers, we have now been enlightened to avocado pudding! What a great suggestion for sneaking healthy fat into our diet. I'm especially glad to learn about this because avocado in my smoothie hasn't been panning out too well. I just don't love the texture it creates. 

However, this chocolate pudding is delish!  I looked up a few recipes, but didn't want to mess with fancy ingredients like cream, dates, coconut oil or yogurt.

So we ended up creating this simpler version and hope you like it as much as we do.

The recipe made one large serving. Next time, I may pick up at least 2 avocados to make enough for the whole family.  

1 Ripe Avocado
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
2 Tbs Almond Milk
2 Tbs Honey or Maple Syrup (may use half stevia)
Dash of Salt (this makes it!)

Blend ingredients together in a blender or food processor.

Canned coconut dairy-free whipped cream or So Delicious Coco Whip would make a wonderful topping.

I bought Stevia without reading the ingredients. When I got home I noticed it contains lactose. :(

Yikes, I"m glad you checked! What brand was that? It's amazing how some brands have sugar in them and other ingredients. I have Stevia in the Raw.
