Rice Crispy Treat Pops {Dairy-Free}

Original Post 10-10

We sold these rice pops at our garage sale recently, and they were a huge hit.

I wanted them to be cute and easy to sell so I added sprinkles and packaged them in cellophane bags sealed with ribbon.

My boys are in LOVE with these fun treats. Something about "on a stick" makes them irresistible!

Dairy-Free Rice Crispy Treat Pops
6 Cups Rice Crispies
3 Tbs Dairy-Free Margarine (Earth Balance, Fleischmann's Unsalted Sticks)
1 Bag Marshmallows
1/2 Tsp Vanilla

Popsicle Sticks

Cellophane Bags
Ribbon

Heat margarine over medium heat in a large pot.  Add marshmallows until heated.  Take off heat and add vanilla.  Then stir in rice crispies until coated.

Press the treats into your pan and let sit for about 10 minutes. You don't want them too gooey and don't want them too set either. After about 10 minutes, cut them into normal size squares. Then take out each square and roll into a ball using water on your hands so not to have too much sticking.  Let the balls set a bit and then insert craft sticks. Wrap in cellophane bags and tie with ribbon!

I had some of these at my son's 3rd b-day party this weekend. They were gone before we knew it! So good! (check out pics...all allergy free...from his party! www.52treatsicaneat.wordpress.com )

these still look so good, I'm going to have to make them soon. I know you made them in a flash so I just need to get the stuff to make them, lol.

We make rice krispie treats all the time with margarine, and no one has ever complained! My husband has a dairy allergy so that's all we use. We do add a touch of vanilla to the recipe which makes them all the more yummy.
